Native Tribe is a Tembisa based DJ, producer and label boss with a punchy signature sound of afrohouse, afro techno and electro fused with heady ancestral nostalgia and hybrid forms of bass and club music.   South Africa-born Tembisa based, better known as Native Tribe is an internationally renowned DJ, producer & label boss.


2019 was a busy year for Native Tribe -aside from releasing aesthetic bangers to serving for Resurrected Youth Radio, Drums Radio & Deeplomatic Radio Uk.   He has also released major records such as Arawakan records, Obenmusik  & 3sugars which all garnered great press, radio and playlist support from Blackcoffee, Saint Evo, Yogi Patel, and Hyena  just to name particular highlights  as well as maintaining a rigorous international attention  on his residency on Resurrected Youth Radio.


Renowned for his energetic DJ sets, Native Tribe has extensive mix archive that can be found on across digital streaming platforms and features exclusive guest mix  for  Solid Garage Toronto, Room System (Seres Producoes), The Cummute just to name a few.   Entering the 10th year in the music industry Native Tribe has established a reputation as an eclectic and adaptive DJ, utilizing years of music making and performance experience to develop a finely tuned sensitivity to quality selection and reading a room.


Never much of a genre purist, Native Tribes’s sets can feature the gamut from Afro House to Techno, with detours into Electro or proto-House along the way, often in the same night.   He has also produced an extensive range of music between 2019 & 2020 mostly with well-known producers including the seminal dance floor hit “Jehara ”,’ which is supported by Black Coffee, Saint Evo,Dj Angel B,Jon Mavek and currently has remixes from Thab da soul & Da africa deep.


Native Tribe also showcases his passion for versatile and forward-thinking international music by releasing fresh music from artists around the globe on his radio shows such as the urban selections on Resurrected Youth Radio every Friday & Saturdays between 3pm-4pm (
